Garden Flowers in My Town

Enjoying Garden Flowers
I live in very small town in rural Indiana. The homes aren't grandiose and the landscape presents nothing dramatic, mostly fields of crops, small wooded areas, and livestock grazing. In town, the homes are modest but small flower gardens are common.
Each day, I go for a walk and once in a while, I take my camera along. Over the past few years, I've captured a number of photographs. Some I've used for commercial purposes, but many of course have merely been parked on my hard drive awaiting the day it crashes and they disappear forever.
Periodically, I go through my photographs and publish them, simply to share. With my very basic point and shoot camera in hand, I find that I see things I would otherwise miss entirely. Somehow my attention to details is enhanced just by holding this little device. Anyway, I decided to dedicate this page to garden flowers, just a few of the ones I've photographed in the past two years. These are some of the images that have served no other purpose, at least until now!
Information About Garden Flowers
I'm not a flower expert, but I can refer you to some people who are. In fact, lower on the page, I'll provide some links to some pages that should help you grow your own garden flowers and design your own flower garden.
Meanwhile enjoy just a few pictures that I've taken. Be sure to come back soon, I'll try to add more periodically.

Your photos were breathtaking, especially enjoyed the tulip.
Your pictures are gorgeous. Please do share more! I hate the idea that you'd lose so much beauty as a result of a crash (it's happened to us all) and we'd never get to see it.
All the pix are wonderful, although I particularly liked the blanket flower one with the picket fence background. Lovely composition and colours.
Love and peace (and keep walking with your camera!

As I am a lover of flowers, I loved the pics. Thanks for the links and last but not least I have finally learned to always, always carry my camera when I go for walks.
Just looking at these photos made me feel good. Love the daylily with the ant!
Thanks for the truly beautiful photos. I need this today - because the saying is so true - 'beauty transforms' - yes it does.

This is a beautiful garden! I know that mine is getting better, but not that nice!
Those are very lovely flowers. I especially love the pink rose. For a while there I wished I were a butterfly so I could fly from flower to flower.
